Asnawi Mangkualam rarely appears in Indonesia after being dropped from national team

Asnawi Mangkualam — Port FC’s right-back who has been playing abroad for 4.5 years — now rarely gets the opportunity to perform in front of Indonesian audiences.

The 25-year-old Makassar native started his overseas career in South Korea — spending three years in K-League 2 before joining Thai giants Port FC.

During his foreign career, Asnawi has only played once in Indonesia at club level — when Port FC visited Persib Bandung at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium in the AFC Champions League 2.
