Arvid Lindblad Completes First F1 Test with Racing Bull at Imola

According to reports from Imola circuit, Arvid Lindblad — Red Bull’s young prospect — has completed his first official Formula 1 test using Racing Bull’s 2023 AT04 car.

The 17-year-old driver shared testing duties with fellow Red Bull junior — Ayumu Iwasa. Lindblad took control of the AT04 during the morning session, while Iwasa handled the afternoon running.

Despite not reaching the age limit of 18, Lindblad has received special dispensation from FIA for his F1 superlicense. This wasn’t his first F1 experience — the young driver had previously conducted a filming day at the same venue in February.

Lindblad’s performance in Formula 2 has also been impressive:

• Secured his first feature race victory in Spain
• Won his maiden sprint race in Jeddah
• Currently holds third position in standings behind Alex Dunne and Richard Verschoor

Racing Bulls still has two rookie FP1 slots to fill, after Isack Hadjar covered the first two. Lindblad is expected to make his FP1 debut with both Racing Bulls and Red Bull in the latter half of this season.
