Arteta wants another midfielder despite Arsenal securing two new players

Mikel Arteta — Arsenal’s manager — has requested the club management to sign one more midfielder despite already reaching agreements with two new players in that position.

This need emerges following the confirmed departures of two Gunners midfielders — Jorginho who joined Flamengo and Thomas Partey who will leave the club this summer.

Arsenal have secured the services of two midfielders — Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad for 65 million euros and Christian Norgaard from Brentford for 11 million euros.

Renowned Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed both transfers with his signature “Here we go!” — although no official announcement has been made by the club.
