Arteta Opens Door for Young Arsenal Players After Milan Victory

According to reports from Singapore National Stadium, Arsenal secured a narrow victory over AC Milan with seven academy players featuring — including debuts for two 15-year-olds.

Mikel Arteta gave opportunities to Max Dowman and Marli Salmon for the final 25 minutes, while Bukayo Saka’s lone goal secured the win in front of 22,813 spectators.

“Very happy with all the kids. They are able to play at that level at 15 years old because of the environment and culture within the team,” stated Arteta.

The Spanish coach also provided injury updates — Gabriel Magalhães experienced a minor setback during training, while Jurriën Timber hasn’t yet joined team training.

Arsenal will continue their pre-season tour with a match against Newcastle in Singapore this weekend.
