Ahead of the Champions League semifinal against Paris Saint-Germain, manager Mikel Arteta confirms he won’t rest Bukayo Saka in remaining Premier League fixtures.

Arsenal advanced to the semifinals after defeating Real Madrid, 5-1 on aggregate — however their European form contrasts with their Premier League campaign, where they trail Liverpool by 13 points with five matches remaining.

“We cannot think in those terms, when players are fit and available and want to play, they have to play,” Arteta stated during press conference. “They are at their best when they are playing consistently, both physically and emotionally.”

Bukayo Saka has contributed 25 goals and assists in 30 appearances this season. Despite receiving a heavy challenge against Ipswich Town, Arteta indicated Saka’s condition is not concerning.

Different news came for Jorginho who suffered a rib injury — the Italian midfielder is confirmed to be out for several weeks and it remains unclear if he can return this season.
