Arsenal sign Kepa Arrizabalaga from Chelsea on three-year deal

Kepa Arrizabalaga has officially joined Arsenal as their first signing of this summer transfer window — the North London club paid £5 million to secure his services from Chelsea.

The 30-year-old goalkeeper has signed a three-year contract with The Gunners — he will compete with his compatriot David Raya for the first-choice goalkeeper position.

“I’m very happy to be here, really excited and looking forward to what’s coming,” said Kepa. “When I spoke with Mikel and Inaki, they showed their desire to win.”

Kepa’s arrival adds to the list of players who have moved from Chelsea to Arsenal — the total transfer value between the two London clubs has reached 2 trillion rupiah since summer 2019.
