Arsenal Sign Cristhian Mosquera from Valencia

According to ESPN, Cristhian Mosquera is on his way to Singapore to join Arsenal for their pre-season tour after the club finalized a deal with Valencia.

Although the exact transfer fee has not been disclosed, sources say the deal is worth around £17 million including add-ons — the young defender is expected to arrive in Asia before Arsenal’s first friendly against AC Milan on Wednesday.

The 21-year-old player, who has made 90 appearances for Valencia and represented the Spain U-21 national team, will serve as a backup to Arsenal’s main centre-back duo William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes.

Mosquera’s arrival marks Arsenal’s fifth signing of the summer following:
