Arsenal loses Gabriel for rest of season, Arteta confident about replacements

Arsenal has confirmed that defender Gabriel Magalhaes will miss the remainder of the season after undergoing surgery for a hamstring injury sustained during the match against Fulham.

Manager Mikel Arteta states his team is ready to face this challenge — Arsenal, currently boasting the best defensive record in the Premier League, must find solutions to replace Gabriel‘s crucial role alongside William Saliba.

“It was a tough one to digest because we just got Bukayo back and then we lose Gabi. But the team reacted like they have all season,” Arteta said during a press conference.

The timing of this injury is particularly critical as Arsenal prepares to face Everton at Goodison Park tomorrow — followed by the Champions League quarter-final first leg against Real Madrid.

On a positive note, Ben White and Jurrien Timber, who previously experienced knee problems, have a chance to return for the Everton match.

Losing Gabriel Magalhaes at such a pivotal stage of the season presents a major setback for Arsenal’s title and European ambitions. However, the potential returns of White and Timber—could help stabilize the backline as Arteta looks to maintain momentum both domestically and in Europe.
