Arsenal Close to Viktor Gyökeres with €60 Million Offer

According to ESPN, Arsenal has decided to focus on signing striker Viktor Gyökeres from Sporting CP — negotiations for a transfer worth €60 million plus €10 million in bonuses are intensively ongoing.

Arsenal’s sporting director Andrea Berta has made several visits to Lisbon to negotiate with player’s agent Hasan Cetinkaya and the club. Although Sporting president Frederico Varandas wants more than €75 million, The Gunners remain optimistic about reaching an agreement.

Arsenal hopes to complete the transfer before the team departs for their pre-season tour to Southeast Asia in mid-July. As an alternative, the club is also considering Rodrygo from Real Madrid — though this transfer is deemed more complicated.

Meanwhile, Noni Madueke from Chelsea is also on Arsenal’s radar, but the club isn’t fully convinced about the 23-year-old player. Chelsea themselves are open to releasing Madueke following the arrivals of Joao Pedro and Jamie Gittens.
