Arsenal Close to Signing Valencia Young Defender Cristhian Mosquera

Arsenal are in negotiations with Valencia to secure the signing of center-back Cristhian Mosquera — the 20-year-old defender who has made 73 LaLiga appearances over the past two seasons.

The Spain youth international, who is also eligible to represent Colombia, has attracted interest from several clubs, but Arsenal are in pole position to secure his signature. RB Leipzig have also shown interest, while Valencia have attempted to extend his contract.

Negotiations are progressing for a transfer fee of around €20 million, with Mosquera having already agreed personal terms with Arsenal. The Gunners are seeking additional defensive cover for William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhães.

Currently, Arsenal have Jakub Kiwior as a backup option, while Riccardo Calafiori, Jurriën Timber, and Ben White have primarily played as fullbacks during their time in North London.
