Arne Slot key figure in Florian Wirtz’s move to Liverpool

Liverpool have completed the transfer of Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen — manager Arne Slot is credited as the key figure behind this deal.

Through an official announcement on the club website, Liverpool confirmed the arrival of the 22-year-old attacking midfielder.

“Wirtz has signed a long-term contract with The Reds after agreeing personal terms and successfully completing a series of medical tests,” Liverpool stated.

The German international has committed to a five-year contract that will keep him at Anfield until June 2030 — Liverpool had to spend 116 million pounds to secure his services.
