Arne Slot delighted with Mohamed Salah’s contract extension at Liverpool

Liverpool manager Arne Slot has expressed his delight after Mohamed Salah decided to extend his contract at Anfield until summer 2027.

The Egyptian star was set to become a free agent this summer — but sporting director Richard Hughes managed to convince Salah to remain on Merseyside.

“I’m very happy. He has shown his value to the team and club over many years,” said Slot.

“It’s a great achievement for Richard Hughes because Mo Salah as a free agent could go to any club he wanted,” he added.
