Argentina dominates world padel sport with 12 championships

Argentina has established itself as the dominant force in padel — a racquet sport that is now rapidly growing worldwide including in Indonesia.

The International Padel Federation (FIP) is currently working to include this sport — which originated in Mexico — in the 2032 Olympics.

Argentina’s national padel team has achieved remarkable success by never missing a world championship final in both men’s and women’s divisions. In 16 tournament editions, the men’s team has collected:

• 12 world championships (1992, 1994, 1996, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2022, 2024)
• 4 runner-up titles (1998, 2008, 2010, 2021)

Argentina’s achievements far surpass Spain’s second-place standing with only 4 world titles — proving their undisputed dominance in this sport.
