Apriyani/Febi Win Debut Match at Taipei Open 2025

Indonesia’s new women’s doubles pair, Apriyani Rahayu/Febi Setianingrum, started their Taipei Open 2025 campaign on a high note with a victory over Malaysia’s Cheng Su Hui/Tan Zhing Yi in the Round of 32.

Playing at the Taipei Arena, Taiwan, the Indonesian duo — both known for their aggressive style — displayed promising on-court chemistry, although a bit of awkwardness in rotation was still visible.

Apriyani Rahayu, the Tokyo 2020 Olympic gold medalist, delivered powerful attacks following her return from injury. Meanwhile, Febi Setianingrum kept up with the pace and complemented her partner’s play effectively.

While improvements are still needed in their net play, this international debut showed that the new pair holds strong potential as a future asset for Indonesia.
