Aprilia Tegaskan Jorge Martin Terikat Kontrak hingga 2026

Aprilia Racing has issued an official statement regarding Jorge Martin’s contract situation — the Italian factory team emphasized that the reigning MotoGP champion is contractually obligated to stay until the end of the 2026 season.

This statement follows a report by Motorsport.com, which revealed Martin’s intention to activate a release clause in the second year of his contract. The deal, signed during last year’s Italian Grand Prix, allows him to accept offers from other teams if he is not in title contention after the French Grand Prix.

“The contract between Aprilia Racing and Jorge Martín remains valid and in effect and must be honored by both parties until the end of 2026. Aprilia Racing has fulfilled all its obligations according to the agreed timeline and conditions,” read the team’s statement.

The situation becomes even more intriguing with Honda being rumored as a potential destination for Martin. However, the Japanese manufacturer stated it will not make any moves until the dispute with Aprilia is resolved.

Martin, who is currently recovering from a pneumothorax suffered in Qatar, is expected to return at the German Grand Prix, scheduled for July 11–13.
