Antoine Semenyo extends Bournemouth contract until 2030

According to the club’s official announcement, Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo has signed a five-year contract extension that will keep him at Vitality Stadium until 2030.

The Ghana international — who joined from Bristol City about two and a half years ago for €10.25 million — had attracted interest from Premier League elite clubs including Manchester United, Liverpool, and Tottenham Hotspur during this summer transfer window.

Last season proved to be Semenyo’s best campaign with The Cherries as he netted 11 goals and provided six assists in 37 appearances, helping the club finish 9th in the Premier League standings.

“I’ve grown so much at the club, both on and off the pitch, and I’m really happy to have signed ahead of returning for pre-season,” said Semenyo. “From the fans to the staff and my team-mates, I can’t speak highly enough of the people around the club.”

Retaining Semenyo represents a major achievement for manager Andoni Iraola — following the departures of Dean Huijsen to Real Madrid and Milos Kerkez to Liverpool, plus failing to convert Kepa Arrizabalaga’s loan into a permanent deal as the goalkeeper opted to join Arsenal.
