Antoine Griezmann Extends Atlético Madrid Stay to 2027

Antoine Griezmann has officially signed a one-year contract extension with Atlético Madrid, keeping him at the club until mid-2027.

The 34-year-old forward has cemented his legacy in Atlético Madrid’s history, becoming the club’s all-time top scorer with 197 goals over nine seasons across two separate spells since joining in 2014.

The extension also provides financial benefits for the club regarding LaLiga’s spending limits. This season, Griezmann has scored 16 goals in all competitions, including eight goals in 38 league appearances.

“MLS is one of my goals and I want to finish my career there,” said Griezmann, who has openly shared his interest in American sports.

During his time with Atlético Madrid, the 2018 World Cup winner has claimed the UEFA Europa League, UEFA Super Cup, and Spanish Super Cup. He also spent two seasons with Barcelona before returning to Wanda Metropolitano.
