According to an official PBSI announcement, Anthony Sinisuka Ginting has withdrawn from the 2025 Asian Championships, scheduled to take place in Ningbo, China. His spot will be taken by Alwi Farhan.

“Anthony Ginting has been withdrawn from the Badminton Asia Championships (BAC) 2025 as he is still recovering from injury,” states the official PBSI announcement.

PBSI’s Head of Achievement Development, Eng Hian, provided further clarification on Ginting’s condition.

“According to medical team examination results, Ginting’s condition is not yet ready for competition, and needs more time to return to competitive form,” explained Eng Hian.

Ginting sustained an arm injury at the 2025 Malaysia Open  which forced him to miss several major tournaments, including the 2025 India Open, 2025 Indonesia Masters, and 2025 All England Open.
