Andres Nieto becomes first Cambodian player in Indonesian League 1

Andres Nieto — Cambodia national team striker who recently joined Bhayangkara FC — begins his new adventure in Indonesian League 1 for the 2025-2026 season.

The 29-year-old player makes history as the first Cambodian national team player to compete in Indonesian football competition.

“I arrived a few days ago and have only trained with Bhayangkara for two days,” stated Nieto.

“I’m gradually getting fit after the holiday period and learning the ideas and playing identity that coach Paul Munster wants. I’m very happy to join this big team,” he added.

The Cambodian striker is currently undergoing training sessions with The Guardians under coach Paul Munster at Madya Stadium, Senayan.
