Andrea Kimi Antonelli completes school exams after F1 podium in Canada

Mercedes rookie driver Andrea Kimi Antonelli has just completed his final school exams — just days after securing his first Formula 1 podium at the Canadian Grand Prix.

The 18-year-old driver opted to skip the F1 film premiere in New York and fly back to Italy for his exams. “I’m extremely happy to have completed my exams,” Antonelli told reporters in Austria.

“Quitting school in the final year wouldn’t have been the best choice. I would have probably felt guilty for years if I had stopped right at the end,” Antonelli explained.

Despite sacrificing typical teenage experiences, Antonelli has no regrets about his choices. He acknowledges that balancing education and racing career was challenging — but now he can fully focus on racing, which has been his childhood dream.

“To be honest, I don’t miss any of that now because I love being at the track, being with the team, and driving an F1 car,” he added.
