Despite falling behind early in the first game, the South Korean star recovered with strong rallies and composure, showcasing why she leads the world rankings.

With this win, An Se-young now leads Gao Fang Jie 5-0 in their head-to-head record.

Gao initially led 8-2 and 11-6 at the interval of the first game, but An closed the gap and turned the match around with consistent pressure and precision play.
