Allegri Returns to Milan – Modest Targets for 2025-26 Season

Massimiliano Allegri — the new AC Milan coach — shows a realistic approach heading into the 2025-2026 season by setting modest targets for his team.

This statement comes ahead of the pre-season match against Arsenal in Singapore scheduled for the near future. Milan appointed Allegri as replacement for Sergio Conceicao who parted ways with the club at the end of last season.

The 57-year-old coach has received a two-year contract until 2027 — with an option for an additional season. This appointment marks Allegri’s return to San Siro after 11 years away from the club.

During his first spell with Il Diavolo Rosso (2010-2014), Allegri achieved remarkable success by delivering the Scudetto in his debut season. However, for his second period, the former Juventus manager chooses not to make grand promises to Milan fans.
