Alexandre Pantoja retains UFC flyweight title with total dominance

Alexandre Pantoja proved his class as UFC flyweight champion with a dominant performance against Kai Kara-France at T-Mobile Arena, Nevada — headlining UFC 317.

The Brazilian fighter showed high intensity from the start — taking his opponent to the ground in less than two minutes of the first round. Pantoja, controlling from back position, managed to neutralize the fighter who had competed in Bandung 12 years ago.

Though Kara-France showed improved defense in the second round — the fighter with a 25-11-1 NC record still couldn’t overcome the defending champion’s overwhelming ground control.
