Alex Rodriguez and Marc Lore officially become new Minnesota Timberwolves owners

Alex Rodriguez and Marc Lore have officially become co-owners of the Minnesota Timberwolves and Minnesota Lynx — concluding a four-year acquisition process.

Rodriguez, the former baseball player who hit 696 home runs during his career, brings philosophy from the late New York Yankees owner — winning is the only priority after breathing.

The new ownership duo immediately introduced an innovative ticketing platform called Jump — a system that allows fans to bid on premium seats left vacant during games.

Development plans include the possibility of building a new arena and efforts to repair relations with Kevin Garnett — a team legend who has been less than harmonious with the franchise.

“As a startup founder, it’s all about innovation. It’s about being disruptive, not doing things the conventional way,” said Lore.

The $1.5 billion deal proves advantageous — considering NBA team valuations continue to rise, with Boston Celtics recently valued at $6.1 billion and LA Lakers reaching $10 billion.

The team, powered by young star Anthony Edwards, is expected to maintain momentum after reaching the Western Conference finals twice in succession.
