Alex Pastoor monitors U-23 national team training for FIFA Matchday preparation

Indonesia national team assistant coach Alex Pastoor was seen attending the Indonesia U-23 national team training session during the ASEAN Cup U-23 2025 — his presence aimed at monitoring potential players.

This visit is part of the preparation ahead of FIFA Matchday in September — where head coach Patrick Kluivert has time to select players who could potentially be called up for the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers.

Indonesia U-23 national team coach Gerald Vanenburg responded regarding Pastoor’s presence at the training session.

“Yes, but I think Alex doesn’t decide. I think Patrick is the head coach. So he’s the one who decides,” said Vanenburg.
