Alex Palou Returns to Victory Lane at Road America IndyCar

At the unusually warm NTT IndyCar Series race at Road America, Alex Palou returned to winning ways after experiencing two challenging weekends.

The Spanish driver displayed consistent performance — despite losing several positions early in the race and rarely leading on his own strategy. This victory further solidifies his position in this season’s championship battle.

Felix Rosenqvist from Meyer Shank Racing secured second place — his best finish since Portland in 2023. His teammate, Marcus Armstrong, completed the team’s solid showing with a fifth-place finish.

Team Penske endured a difficult day as all three drivers encountered various incidents:

  • Scott McLaughlin dropped to 12th position
  • Will Power spun at Canada Corner and finished 14th
  • Josef Newgarden crashed and had to retire from the race

Santino Ferrucci from A.J. Foyt Racing continued his positive trend with a third-place finish — making it four consecutive top-five finishes. Meanwhile, rookie driver Louis Foster claimed his first pole position in qualifying, though had to settle for 11th place in the race.
