Alex Palou Claims Dramatic Victory at Iowa Speedway

Alex Palou demonstrated his dominance by securing victory at the 2025 Farm to Finish 275 at Iowa Speedway, according to IndyCar.com.

The Spanish driver — who started from pole position — faced fierce competition from Josef Newgarden who managed to take the lead twice during the race.

Fortune favored Palou when two tire failures hit Andretti Global team — leaving Newgarden trapped a lap behind. The crucial moment came when yellow flags appeared with 22 laps remaining — giving Palou the opportunity for a pit stop and securing the lead.

“I’m speechless, honestly,” Palou stated.

“It’s been an unbelievable day, and unbelievable weekend. But more than anything an incredible year for us.”

Honda swept the podium with Scott Dixon taking second place and Marcus Armstrong finishing third. David Malukas climbed to fourth position, while Pato O’Ward completed the top five.

From 26 drivers who started the race, only 19 made it to the finish — highlighting the intense competition on Iowa Speedway’s short oval.
