Alex Marquez suffers serious injury after crash at Dutch MotoGP

According to Gresini Racing, Alex Marquez sustained a serious injury after a crash at the 10th round of Dutch MotoGP — the Spanish rider suffered a fractured metacarpal bone in his left hand.

The incident occurred when Alex Marquez was involved in an intense battle with Pedro Acosta that ended in a heavy crash. The Marquez brothers’ dominance came to a halt after five consecutive races from Sprint GP Aragon to Sprint GP Netherlands — Marco Bezzecchi from Aprilia Racing secured second position.

Meanwhile, the upcoming German MotoGP at Sachsenring Circuit will present a unique challenge for Marc Marquez. The Ducati Lenovo rider has an impressive record at this counter-clockwise track — a total of 11 consecutive victories across various classes since 2010.
