Alex Marquez Admits Strategy Failure at MotoGP Aragon

Alex Marquez of Gresini Racing admitted that his race strategy did not go as planned at the MotoGP Aragon Grand Prix, held at MotorLand Aragon, Spain. The 29-year-old Spaniard had to settle for second place, finishing behind his brother Marc Marquez, who dominated the race from start to finish.

Started and finished second after 23 laps

The 2019 Moto2 world champion maintained his starting position throughout the 23-lap race. Despite efforts to close the gap to Marc, Alex was forced to shift his focus to defending against pressure from Francesco Bagnaia, who was chasing from third.

“My plan didn’t work well,” Alex told Speedweek, expressing disappointment with the outcome.

Marc unchallenged as ‘Baby Alien’ lives up to his name

Marc Marquez, often nicknamed “Baby Alien,” delivered a flawless performance at Aragon, giving no room for rivals — including his younger brother — to mount a challenge. His win marks a statement comeback in front of Spanish fans, reaffirming his class and race control.
