Alex Marquez of Gresini Racing experienced a dramatic race at MotoGP Qatar — after being involved in an incident with his brother Marc Marquez from the Ducati factory team at Lusail Circuit yesterday.

The 28-year-old rider — who started from second position — collided with his brother, who had pole position, at the first corner after the start flag was waved.

Problems didn’t end there for the 2019 Moto2 world champion — he later made contact with Fabio Di Giannantonio from Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team and had to serve a long lap penalty.

Fermin Aldeguer‘s teammate managed to recover from the difficulties and secure sixth position at the finish line — proving his ability to bounce back from challenging situations in the 22-lap race.

Despite the early chaos, Alex Marquez showcased grit and resilience, salvaging valuable points for Gresini Racing and maintaining his momentum in the championship standings.
