Alex Marquez emerges as serious contender for 2025 MotoGP title

Alex Marquez of Gresini Racing has emerged as a strong contender in the 2025 MotoGP championship battle — the Spanish rider has consistently demonstrated impressive performance throughout the nine races held so far.

Using last year’s Ducati Desmosedici GP, the younger brother of Marc Marquez has managed to compete closely with factory riders — including his brother and Francesco Bagnaia in both sprint and main races.

The 2019 Moto2 world champion has collected six podiums, including a victory at the Spanish GP at Jerez Circuit. These achievements have placed him second in the standings with 230 points — just 40 points behind championship leader Marc Marquez and 110 points ahead of Bagnaia in third position.
