Alex Marquez determined to race in German MotoGP after injury

Alex Marquez from BK8 Gresini Racing is determined to compete in the 11th round of 2025 German MotoGP — despite recent surgery for a left hand metacarpal fracture following an incident with Pedro Acosta in Netherlands.

Sachsenring circuit holds sweet memories for the Marquez duo, where last season Marc Marquez and Alex Marquez made history — becoming the first siblings to share a podium in 28 years, following Nobuatsu and Takuma Aoki’s achievement in 1997.

The Cervera-born brothers’ dominance has been remarkable in 2025, with 14 first and second place finishes from 20 races held — including sprint races and main events.

This brilliant momentum was temporarily halted when Alex Marquez had an incident with Pedro Acosta from Red Bull KTM Factory that led to surgery on the same night.
