Alecks Shares Emotional Response to Mindfreak Leaving Paper Rex

Alecks Paper Rex 2023

Paper Rex’s head coach, Alexandre “alecks” Sallé, has responded to the latest developments between his team and senior player Aaron “mindfreak” Leonheart, who has stated his intention to look for new opportunities.

As announced yesterday afternoon, PRX has moved mindfreak to an inactive position. He’s been permanently replaced by Patrick “PatMen” Mendoza, who joined just before VCT Pacific 2025: Stage 1. However, they are allowing mindfreak to talk to other teams even though his contract is still on.

Mindfreak clarified the news and confirmed he actually wants to find new opportunities with another team because he still has the burning desire to compete at a high level. However, he can only join a new team after VCT Pacific 2025: Stage 2 at the earliest.

This definitely came as a shock for his fans and PRX teammates, who have always seen him as family within the team. Alecks, who has been with him since their PRX CSGO days back in 2020, considers this news marks the end of the classic PRX era.

On social media, the French coach admitted it was hard to part ways with mindfreak after so long. He hopes his long-time player will find a worthy team quickly after he leaves.

“End of an era. Take care of Aaron wherever he lands, guys. Man can play all controllers, sentinels, Raze, and can coach too. Will miss you, Ron. Been an honor to play with and coach you.”

For now, mindfreak says he wants to focus on streaming on his personal channel and isn’t rushing into any offers from outside PRX.
