Alecks Highlights Mindfreak’s Role at Paper Rex

Paper Rex head coach Alexandre “Alecks” Sallé commented on Aaron “mindfreak” Leonheart’s absence from the starting roster and his current role as his assistant for the ongoing Masters Toronto.

The Indonesian Sentinel last played for PRX in the early weeks of the 2025 VCT Pacific season before stepping down and replaced by new recruit Patrick “PatMen” Mendoza. Since then, mindfreak has mostly worked behind the scenes, only briefly returning during last month’s Asian Champions League in China.

Lately, he’s frequently seen beside Alecks during matches, providing strategic input. And his influence has been positive so far as the Singaporean giant reached the Upper Bracket Finals as one of the ‘underdogs’.

However, some fans worry about his future with PRX, seeing that assistant coaching roles can be unstable mid-season. Addressing these concerns at Masters Toronto, Alecks assured everyone that mindfreak remains vital to PRX due to his experience and brotherly bond with the team.

“For the moment, he’s basically acting as assistant coach. He does a lot of more individual things with the players. So anytime, like, Jason needs some specific plans or some details tweaked, he goes to the player and talk to them. He’s very experienced, he’s invaluable for the team. Basically their big brother.”

PRX will face Wolves Esports tomorrow night (June 20) to decide the first spot in the grand finale. The match is highly anticipated with social media hype surrounding both teams’ star players.
