Al Hilal president reveals transfer failures ahead of 2025 Club World Cup

Fahad Bin Nafal, Al Hilal’s president, has revealed the reasons behind the club’s failure to secure several star players ahead of the 2025 Club World Cup — a tournament set to begin tomorrow in the United States.

The tournament’s new format will feature 32 teams from various confederations, with FIFA providing participants an opportunity to strengthen their squads through a special transfer window.

Al Hilal, one of the representatives from the Saudi Pro League, previously attempted to increase their chances by targeting several world-class players:

  • Cristiano Ronaldo
  • Bruno Fernandes
  • Victor Osimhen

However, the club’s efforts to bring in these big names did not yield the desired results.
