Al Hilal holds Real Madrid to draw in Club World Cup opener

According to Bolasport.com, four Asian representatives began their journey in the 2025 Club World Cup held in the United States — but none managed to secure a victory on the first matchday.

The four Asian teams are divided into different groups:

• Urawa Red Diamonds (Japan) in Group E
• Ulsan HD (South Korea) in Group F
• Al Ain (UAE) in Group G
• Al Hilal (Saudi Arabia) in Group H

Al Hilal recorded the best result among Asian representatives — managing to hold Real Madrid to a 1-1 draw at Hard Rock Stadium, Miami. This match also marked the debut of their new coach, Simone Inzaghi.

Real Madrid took the lead through their academy player, Gonzalo Garcia in the 34th minute. However, Ruben Neves equalized from the penalty spot seven minutes later.
