The Doha International Circuit will host the Qatar MotoGP series on April 11-13, 2025 — Francesco Bagnaia arrives with high confidence at one of his favorite tracks.

The Ducati rider just claimed victory in the Americas MotoGP after Marc Marquez—crashed while leading the race at Circuit of The Americas. Bagnaia also won last year’s Qatar MotoGP, while Marquez has only secured one victory at this circuit about 11 years ago.

“Before the Americas MotoGP race, Marquez held the key. Making a mistake shows that he is vulnerable. It gives Pecco the feeling that it can happen, that ‘I can beat him.’ That feeling is huge, especially because it happened here, at a track where Marc is very strong,” said former MotoGP rider Sylvain Guintoli to TNT Sports.

Meanwhile, Alex Marquez from the Gresini team now leads the championship standings—with a one-point advantage over his brother Marc after finishing second at COTA.

As Bagnaia heads into the Qatar MotoGP, he is not only looking to build on his recent win—but also aiming to extend his dominance at one of the most important venues in the series.

With both Marquez brothers hot on his heels, the Qatar round could prove to be a pivotal moment in the 2025 season.
