Ahead of ASEAN Cup U-23, Malaysia coach satisfied with team preparation

Nafuzi Zain, Malaysia U-23 national team coach, expressed his satisfaction with the team’s preparation ahead of ASEAN Cup U-23 2025 — his squad has shown positive development.

The young Harimau Malaya have completed three friendly matches with mixed results — securing victories against PDRM FC and Melaka FC, but suffering a defeat to Negeri Sembilan.

In the upcoming competition, Malaysia is drawn in Group A alongside:

• Indonesia U-23 national team
• Philippines U-23 national team
• Brunei Darussalam U-23 national team

“Match results are not our main focus. What’s most important is seeing how our planned game schemes work on the field,” stated Nafuzi.
