Agent Reveals Salary Jealousy Between Ronaldo and Messi During Barcelona Era

Football agent Andre Cury has revealed that Cristiano Ronaldo felt intense jealousy toward Lionel Messi regarding Barcelona’s financial situation during their time in La Liga. According to Cury, Ronaldo was particularly envious of Messi’s much higher salary at Barcelona, which had been a topic of much discussion.

At the peak of their careers, Ronaldo earned €21 million per year at Real Madrid, while Messi was reported to make €70 million annually at Barcelona in 2020.

Cury mentioned that Ronaldo viewed Messi’s salary as a sign of Messi’s influence at the club and resented how it overshadowed his own financial achievements.
