After Antonelli incident, Verstappen ready to bounce back at British GP

The 12th round of Formula 1 2025 will take place at Silverstone Circuit, Northamptonshire — a legendary venue where Max Verstappen seeks redemption after the Austrian GP incident.

The Red Bull Racing driver experienced a crash at turn 13 of Red Bull Ring last week — after Andrea Kimi Antonelli’s Mercedes suffered technical issues and collided with him.

“The locked rear wheels blocked his car,” stated Toto Wolff, Mercedes team principal. “I’m not entirely sure whether it was Antonelli’s fault or the system. It’s unfortunate for Max and Red Bull that Kimi hit him, but that’s racing.”

As a consequence of the incident, Antonelli will receive a penalty of three grid positions drop for this weekend’s British GP.
