AFC postpones 2026 Women’s Asian Cup qualification in Jordan due to regional conflict

According to the official announcement from the Football Association of Singapore (FAS), the AFC has decided to postpone all Group A matches of the 2026 Women’s Asian Cup Qualification that were planned to be held in Amman, Jordan.

Group A consisting of five nations — Jordan, Singapore, Iran, Lebanon, and Bhutan — was scheduled to compete from June 23 to July 5, 2025.

The postponement is based on regional security considerations — the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel serves as the main factor behind this decision. The venue’s location in Amman, which is in close proximity to Israeli territory, has influenced this policy.

AFC has informed all Group A participating nations about the postponement decision, but has yet to announce new dates for these matches.
