AFC confirms Saudi Arabia and Qatar as World Cup qualifiers hosts

The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has designated Saudi Arabia and Qatar as hosts for the fourth round of 2026 World Cup Qualifiers Asian Zone through letter Number 59/2025.

“The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has confirmed the Qatar Football Association and Saudi Arabian Football Federation as Host Member Associations for the AFC Asian Qualifiers – Road to 26 Playoffs,” states AFC in its letter.

Six nations set to compete in the fourth round in October 2025:

• Indonesia National Team
• Iraq
• Oman
• Qatar
• Saudi Arabia
• United Arab Emirates

This competition will determine the final two teams from the Asian zone to directly qualify for the 2026 World Cup.
