Adenanta Putra claims third podium at ARRC Japan

M. Adenanta Putra – a PT Astra Honda Motor development rider – secured third place in the Supersport 600 class at the opening round of the Asia Road Racing Championship at Motegi Mobility Resort, Japan.

Adenanta started from second grid after setting a time of 1 minute 53.233 seconds in morning qualifying – the Indonesian rider consistently stayed in the top three throughout the race and briefly led on lap eight.

Drama unfolded in the final three laps when Adenanta nearly collided with another rider – the incident dropped him to fourth position before he reclaimed third place at the final corner before the finish line.

Adenanta’s teammates showed mixed results – Herjun Atna Firdaus finished eighth, while Rheza Danica Ahrens failed to complete the race after crashing on lap three.

“This is a valuable result in the pursuit of the SS600 title. Starting from position 2, I managed to start the race well and stay with the front group. I was able to shadow the race leader for most of the race,” stated Adenanta.
