AC Milan officially signs Luka Modric on free transfer

AC Milan has announced the signing of Croatian veteran midfielder Luka Modric on a free transfer, as confirmed through the club’s official website.

The former Real Madrid player — signed a one-year contract until June 2026 with an option for an additional year extension.

“AC Milan proudly announces that Luka Modric has signed a contract until June 30, 2026, with an option for extension until June 30, 2027,” reads the club’s official statement.

The 2018 Ballon d’Or winner — joins Rossoneri after Real Madrid decided not to extend his contract. Despite initially hoping to stay at Santiago Bernabeu, squad restructuring plans led Los Blancos to end the 39-year-old player’s tenure.
