AC Milan Crush Inter Milan’s Treble Dreams In Coppa Italia Semifinal

Luka Jovic and Tijjani Reijnders became AC Milan’s heroes in the second leg of the Coppa Italia semifinal against Inter Milan at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium.

This match followed the first leg that ended in a 1-1 draw three weeks ago — when Tammy Abraham’s goal for Milan was answered by Hakan Calhanoglu for Inter.

Both teams entered the match in poor form — suffering defeats in Serie A last weekend. Inter fell 0-1 to Bologna, while Milan lost by the same score against Atalanta.

Inter Milan’s coach, Simone Inzaghi, made six changes to the lineup from the previous match. These changes included:

  • Josep Martinez replacing Yann Sommer in goal

  • Kristjan Asslani taking Hakan Calhanoglu’s position

  • Mehdi Taremi getting an opportunity in attack

Meanwhile, Milan’s coach Sergio Conceicao maintained the same eleven players from the match against Atalanta.

The result ensured AC Milan’s place in the Coppa Italia final, while extinguishing Inter Milan’s ambitions of completing a historic treble. With disciplined tactics and standout individual performances, Milan turned the tide in one of the most decisive Derby della Madonnina clashes in recent seasons.
