Karrigan Stands By s1mple After FaZe’s IEM Dallas 2025 Defeat

Despite their recent elimination from IEM Dallas 2025, FaZe Clan CS2’s regular Finn “Karrigan” Andersen expressed satisfaction with his team’s efforts, particularly commending the stand-in player Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyljev.

The veteran squad was knocked out in the lower bracket semifinals following a dramatic 1-3 loss to Heroic two days ago. While Karrigan and s1mple showcased strong synergy, they ultimately failed to maintain their lead in the final game, missing a chance to force overtime and prolong their tournament run.

Most FaZe fans acknowledged the loss while applauding s1mple’s clutch plays in critical moments. However, some critics argued that the legendary AWP player contributed less overall and questioned whether his peak years were behind him.

Karrigan defended s1mple’s performance, insisting his skill remains as sharp as ever. He also said that he will do everything to support his Russian teammate for another major event in the near future:

“I know this guy (s1mple) is not happy about his performance, but you are a fool if you think he doesn’t have it in him anymore. 12 days bootcamp incoming and I will do what I can to help him achieve great results,” Karrigan stated on Instagram.

The next big challenge for FaZe will be the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025, starting in early June. Fans are definitely eager to see s1mple’s progress, as he’s confirmed to compete in the event.
