Jose Mourinho Denies Meeting with Portuguese FA Officials

Jose Mourinho, head coach of Fenerbahce, has strongly denied rumors claiming he met with Portuguese Football Federation officials regarding a potential national team role.

“I can deny that I have never held a meeting with the Portuguese Football Federation. I am a loyal person,” Mourinho stated.

Fenerbahce president Ali Koç previously revealed that Mourinho turned down a €36 million offer midway through the season. Mourinho confirmed this, saying he had informed the club prior to meeting with any interested parties.

Addressing Galatasaray’s recent title win, Mourinho criticized their celebration — particularly the moment when goalkeeper Fernando Muslera took a penalty late in the match while leading 2–0.

Fenerbahce secured the runner-up spot in the league after a 2-1 victory over Eyüpspor.
