Bruno Fernandes shines as Man United defeat West Ham in New Jersey

Bruno Fernandes led Manchester United to a 2-1 victory over West Ham United in the Premier League Summer Series pre-season match at MetLife Stadium, New Jersey.

The Portuguese captain opened the scoring for the Red Devils from the penalty spot in the fifth minute — followed by a spectacular goal from outside the box in the 52nd minute. Jarrod Bowen managed to reduce the deficit for West Ham in the 63rd minute.

This positive result shows improvement for Ruben Amorim’s squad — who previously only managed a goalless draw against Leeds United in their first pre-season friendly this summer.
