Mario Lemos emphasizes Persijap’s hard work philosophy for Super League

Mario Lemos, Persijap Jepara’s coach, has established hard work and never-give-up spirit as the team’s foundation for Super League 2025/2026 — a major challenge for this promoted team.

While acknowledging they’re not yet on par with top clubs like Persib Bandung and Persebaya Surabaya, Persijap has prepared a squad of 29 players — including nine foreign players for the upcoming competition.

The Jepara-based team has completed two friendly matches against PSBS Biak and Persipura Jayapura, both ending in goalless draws.

“We realize Persijap Jepara is a promoted team but we want to fight, we want to run and that’s our mentality,” stated Lemos.

“We might not be at the level of Persib or Persebaya yet, but anyone who comes to Jepara must find it difficult.”

“We want to be aggressive, press, and play fast,” added the Persijap coach.
