Morgan Gibbs-White extends contract with Nottingham Forest until 2028

Morgan Gibbs-White has officially extended his commitment to Nottingham Forest by signing a new three-year contract, as reported by ESPN.

The decision comes as a surprise — considering the English midfielder was previously close to joining Tottenham Hotspur, who were ready to trigger his £60 million release clause.

Club owner Evangelos Marinakis welcomed the contract extension. “Morgan is a special player — not just in terms of talent, but character and mentality,” he stated.

“I’ve felt at home at Forest from the moment I arrived. The support from the fans, my teammates, and everyone around the club has been unbelievable,” expressed Gibbs-White.

Last season, the 24-year-old impressed with seven goals and ten assists in 34 Premier League appearances — helping Forest finish seventh.

Forest now has a chance to compete in the Europa League next season after UEFA stripped Crystal Palace of their competition slot due to multi-club ownership issues, though the final decision awaits appeal results on August 11.
